The humble cow slogging around in the muddy field. Behind the barbed wire fence rusting and sharp. What a sad existence these beasts lead. I drive past them in my old pickup truck. I am on my way to the grocery store to buy cheese, milk, yogurt and steak. The blank stare of the cow mirrors my own blank stare at the road.
A couple of years ago I started painting cows.

It’s a wonderful cow. Strong feeling of mass about it and the light is intriguing. 🙂
