Chaos and Beauty (revisited)

Chaos and Beauty – 9”x12”, acrylic

With summer quickly winding down I’ve got those mixed feelings that come with a shift in season. Visitors will begin dropping off and the weather will cool. It’s the passing of time that brings a bit of melancholy. The tiny bit of me that is optimistic is excited to dig deep in the studio. The cooler weather is much better for acrylic painting… perhaps the greatest work ahead.

Working Artist

A few of the pieces

I am fortunate to be working with some great galleries around the country. Horizon Fine Art Gallery is one of the wonderful places that sells my work. The gallery is located in Jackson Hole, one of the prettiest places in the world. In the last month I have sold seven pieces through the art gallery! I am ordering more frames and finishing more art, hope to get more work there soon.

Spring’s Promise (final)

Spring’s Promise – 18”x24”, acrylic

The finished painting of “Spring’s Promise”. I am leaning into the beauty of the lake and sunshine as our temperatures in North Idaho are suddenly skyrocketing. When I started this painting the snow was piled up, now it is in the mud 80’s… big change in a month.

Turn to Yesterday (tbt)

Turn to Yesterday – 40”x24”, acrylics

This painting was sold a couple years ago through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I am currently witnessing a lot of gorgeous seas and contemplating future paintings. It has been a gift to have a long and only briefly planned voyage to the Caribbean with one of my best buddies. I definitely have been thinking about painting relentlessly, eager to get back to my work.
