Majesty
Blinding beauty as inspiration. For anyone keeping track, this is the 5th painting in my 24” x 24” collection. One more to come!
October (surprise?)
This painting never felt fully realized. I put an afternoon of painting into this piece. I added some subtle opaque touches. I introduce more warm muted reds and some additional clouds.
Timbered Vignette
This new painting was inspired by my daily hikes in the National Forest near my home. Growing up I was fortunate to have a dad who worked for the US Forest Service! We had so many great adventures in the back country.
The World View
“The World in View” opened at Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado over the weekend. I am pleased to have a few pieces in this excellent group exhibit!

Rise
A new painting in the studio! I decided to go very vertical with this piece to interesting effect.
Higher Art Gallery
I shipped four paintings to Higher Art Gallery in Traverse City, Michigan!
I haven’t sent work to Higher Art Gallery in two or three years. I am excited to send some small pieces their way.!
Days of May
This painting really captures the daily feel of May, where I live, in North Idaho. It is also the fourth painting in my collection of 24” x 24” paintings. There are two more to paint, stay tuned.
Endings
I am working on some miniature pieces lately as my time has been limited in the studio (there is never enough studio time). These tiny paintings are an opportunity to work out compositions, color schemes and ideas. Bigger things to come!
