Texture self portrait
This is an older painting. I built up a heavily textured substrate and painted over that rough surface with acrylics.
Longhorn (commission)
This is a small acrylic painting I am doing on commission. It is 6″x6″ and I decided to do a couple of them while I was at it. I will post the second one later in the week!

Four finished paintings. These are all 18″x18″.
Two sky paintings
These two paintings have now been completed. I recently applied a couple coats of varnish and took this photograph in my studio.
Since I am moving these photos may be the last taken in my studio. For the near future I will be without a dedicated work space. I will probably be working on smaller pieces… I must keep working!
Bison
This is a painting I did ages ago. I was painting over a very coarse texture created with modeling paste.
I have always been a fan of bison, though they are a tragic symbol.
Oregon Beach
Spent the day in Astoria Oregon. They have a really great Sunday market with a lot of food, crafts and wine.
We ended up at the beach down by Gearhart Oregon. All the hot weather was forgotten once that ocean air started blasting us.

Last Night
Tonight is the lasts night in my house, I will be back but it occurred to me my cats wouldn’t be back again… I’m painfully sentimental.

Experimental Crow
This is an older piece. An experiment in texture, color and paint application. The results were interesting but chaotic.
