A large new painting in the studio this morning. Continuing work on these 24”x36” panels, great size with room to roam. Inspiration is from my home water, Lake Pend Oreille.

An experimental painting from last May. Something I intended to follow further. One of the benefits of looking through past work, a reminder of exploration yet to do.
A blast of color to start off your Friday morning.
A couple pieces inspired by morning hikes. Currently the leaves are under ice and snow, there is a little more fall ahead.
One of three square water panels I have been painting. Water is always a fascination and inspiration in my work. The simplicity and incredible complexity so mesmerizing. A mirror of the world.
Reflections, ripples and refracting light. Water is a beautiful thing to observe and echo.
Final photograph of another recent painting. I have painted a few along this theme, more to come.
The rain and sun of spring are a source of inspiration. I decided to break down the imagery into something of an abstracted pattern. The result is a bit hypnotic and perhaps meditative.
The paint is often the subject of my work as much as any imagery.
Moving forward with a little bit of rain.
I often wish I lived on an island. In a way I suppose I do.
