Decisions
As my next show gets closer I am making decisions about which pieces I will take. I am varnishing older work and still painting new pieces. I want the exhibit to be a strong collection that all belongs together but also with visual variety. It is tough to know sometimes exactly how much work is needed. Like so many things in life it is about making good decisions.
Embrace the Blue
This painting will be at my upcoming solo show at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. The show dates are July 13 through August 6, 2019.
I have been in the gallery many times over the past 15 years or so. I am excited to finally have my work displayed with RiverSea Gallery. It’ll also be fun to get back to the Oregon Coast!

Today I am shipping off these five new paintings. They are going to a really cool gallery in South Carolina, Robert Lange Studios. We have followed each other on Instagram for ages. I have always been impressed with their work so this is exciting for me!

My latest solo show is open at Elliott Fouts Gallery in Sacramento, California. I am so pleased to have a show at this gallery! This is also my first major exhibit in California.
I will be attending the Second Saturday opening February 9th, it runs 6-9 PM. Photographs reposted from @efgallery.

This painting will soon be headed to the Elliott Fouts Gallery in Sacramento, California. I have a solo show there the month of February and I am super excited about it!
I painted this one three or four weeks ago. Just got around to taking a high resolution photograph this morning. I still have so much varnishing, framing and photography I have to do before the show. So many details go into the preparation of an exhibit. I just want to paint but it’s all part of the gig… I can’t really complain.
Wall of Clouds
Warm evening sun coloring giant clouds! I finished this one last week, one of those paintings that seemed to paint itself. I chose not to question it. I really like the blending and mark making in this piece.
Piling up
I am busy prepping work for a solo show in Sacramento at the Elliott Fouts Gallery. My studio counter is filling up, still so much to do!
I deliver the work in early January, which is sounding soon here in November!
