This little acrylic painting completely slipped my mind. I found it while emptying a drawer in my studio. Kind of a fun surprise.
The work was done on a small piece of masonite. A thick layer of acrylic gel texture was built up and then painted over.
I am packing up my house and preparing to move to Idaho. Eleven years I have enjoyed living here but it is time for a new adventure.

This cute little rabbit was displaced by a bulldozer from a neighboring property. He showed up as a fearless little guy and hung around a summer and fall back in 2007.
I took a fun trip to Astoria, Oregon this weekend. The town has a number of interesting art galleries and has a great artsy vibe. When you catch the elusive sunny weather it is beautiful!
We have had a run of unusually warm weather for Early April. Into the 80’s already?!?!
One benefit to the warmth is watching the critters in my pond really wake up with the warming water temperatures. The pond is home to koi, goldfish, catfish, turtles, frogs, crayfish, trapdoor snails and a lot of insect life. I took this short video to give you a glimpse into the world. I went to Pendleton for my second solo art show. This is something I was selected for about a year ago and have been working towards the event with a lot of enthusiasm. I am seeking out more solo exhibitions for art exposure but also my love of road trips and adventure.

We spent all day yesterday setting up the show. Lori Sams is the gallery director and she does a great job, brought in a couple of assitants too! The opening is tonight, should be fun.
