Baker City, art show
Last night was the opening for my solo show at Crossroads Carnegie Art Center in Baker City, Oregon.
It is always fun to see a lot of your work hanging together in a show! I believe I brought approximately 53 paintings to this particular show.
I gave a rambling art talk followed by a few questions. Then I hung around and talked to the kind hearted art patrons for a couple hours… now back to Idaho!
Small works (ready for the show)

I have been busily preparing work for my upcoming show. I decided to bring some smaller paintings with some of my larger work to this exhibit. These twelve paintings are all 10″x10″ in size, they were all painted over a seven month period. Signing varnishing and adding hangers all takes time but it is part of the deal.
Western Shadows: New Show
I have a new solo show coming up the month of May in Baker City, Oregon. The exhibit will be at “Crossroads Carnegie Art Center”, coming pretty fast on the heels of my last show which is a little stressful.
I am looking forward to the road trip and a bit of adventure so I’ll have to put my paints aside and break out the jibber jabber (I only have so many words). Looking at this poster I’m also remembering I need new tires pretty soon.
Clouds of Coeur d’Alene

I am painting a couple of atmospheric paintings inspired by Lake Coeur d’Alene. I was there on a weekend outing and saw some pretty spectacular clouds over the lake. The lighting was very dramatic and inspirational. This is the first painting I have done, it is 16’x16″. I am pretty pleased with the outcome but it doesn’t begin to do my memory justice. I will post the next one when I complete it as well.
