This is one of three paintings I will be sending to Robert Lange Studios for their exhibit “Horizon Lines”. This is a group exhibit at the gallery in Charleston, South Carolina. I am excited to be sending new work to their gallery!!

This painting has a bit of a haunted and desolate feeling. I am always grateful when the is an emotional resonance with a piece. The vibe seems appropriate for these waning autumn days.
I was pleased to hear that these two paintings were sold through Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They go back a few years, good to remember them and remind myself how things have moved with time.

Dramatic low light of the season has resulted in some gorgeous sunsets on Lake Pend Oreille. It is sad to say goodbye to the warm weather but I am enjoying all of the beauty of the season. Preparing more 18” x 24” boards for new work.

The temperatures are dropping as the sun begins to hide away. More and more I dread the winter but landscape is filled with inspiration.
I am working on a couple of paintings inspired by the beauty of the bashful light.

October already? These months are changing far too fast. I always dread the long darkness of the seasons we are entering. But my studio focus becomes even more intense, it keeps me enthusiastic and motivated.

Two more small paintings, exploring that beautiful fade of day. The final blast of light highlighting the clouds just as the crickets start their song.

I did a major rework of this painting from last fall.

More small paintings in the studio. This one was inspired by a great September road trip last weekend. Fall brings beauty and melancholy.
I will continue working on these small pieces and see where they take me.
