A final studio shot of this painting. Inspired by the cold beauty of the north woods. This painting will be part of my solo exhibit at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. The show opening is June 11th, I am planning on attending the opening.

I was happy to learn that this painting sold through Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming. I have been working with the gallery for about 5 years now. Hopefully I can get more work to them soon. I have been swamped putting together work for my June solo show.

I am wrapping up a big new Art Commission arranged through Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado. This one she brings the magic and the mystery. I keep saying I won’t do more commissions. The commissions have all been rewarding this year… but seriously this might be the last, for a little while.

This large seascape was sold through the Grand Bohemian Gallery in Saint Augustine, Florida. Today I will be carefully packing and shipping this painting to its new home!

Yesterday I received a phone call from Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming. They let me know that this piece had sold. The owner was asking for more work… so grateful for the interest in my art! I am working as hard as I can on my upcoming solo show at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria. Oregon. That said making a living as an artist is tough, you have to sell work and reserve work for shows… not enough time for it all. I am glad it is still the dead of winter so I don’t feel as guilty caging myself in the studio nonstop.

10”x10”, acrylic
Two new paintings, varnished and framed. They have both sold! One is heading to Colorado and the other to Florida.

I was happy to learn that this painting was sold through Abend Gallery, in Denver, Colorado. It’s a funny thing I rarely here from galleries about sales… checks just show up in the mailbox. I am so grateful I get to spend my days painting. The paychecks are sporadic but so much more meaningful.

I have just finished this large commission. I am not taking many commissions this year as I am focusing on my solo show work. Winter inspiration everywhere in the snow country I live in… half a foot more coming over the weekend.

This painting was sold through Elliott Fouts Gallery in Sacramento four years ago. It was part of a big solo exhibit I had, first one to sell out. The show was in February and it took forever to come home with snow related flight cancellations and scary driving… aside from the travel it was a wonderful experience!

Another small painting exploring light and snow. I walked outside to take a photo in the actual snow but the day is beyond dark. The clouds must be stacked high above.
