This is a painting that draws inspiration from a Rembrandt etching of the same name. It will be part of a group show at Haven Gallery in New York late October. I am not allowed to show the final art until the show opens!
Today marks the conclusion of my solo exhibit “Dreams Between Darkness” at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. The show encapsulates a years worth of studio work. Strange to see it wrapping up. This particular paintings was one of the more surreal pieces in a show featuring 21 paintings.

Always had a soft spot for this painting, though it has been tough to photograph. It will be part of my upcoming solo show “Dreams between Darkness” opening June 11th at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. Check out the video to see it living in the studio.

A new painting in the studio. This one is a work in progress, a dramatic experiment. I am going to be doing a few in a series… the grand adventure.

A brand new painting in the studio. This one has a real presence in person, almost audible. Probably my favorite recent title as well…

These small paintings are from a bonus instagram account named cult_of_doodle. Last year I was using left over paint at the end of the day and painting little images without planning. It was a liberating and exciting way to paint. I found that it spawned new creative ideas and helped me generate more expressive work. We shall see if this continues…
This painting truly has a haunting feeling in person. Part of a series I am working on inspired by the lake shore and the season.

This painting sold in February of this year through RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. I am excited to have another solo show with them summer of 2022.

This surreal sunset has perhaps my favorite title to date. The painting will be part of my large solo show opening this Friday at Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina!
