Meet the Day
More small work happening in the studio. I have been painting some rather large pieces so it is nice to mix it up. Happy Thanksgiving!
Three to Asheville, N.C.
I am shipping a few small pieces to Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. These pieces were requested for a small works show. This time of year galleries are always looking for small paintings for Holiday Shows. I am sending small paintings to just two galleries this year.

This painting is available at Radius Gallery in Missoula, Montana. They are having a sale, 20% through December 30th! The gallery is very generously taking the discount from their portion.
Holiday Show (Missoula)
Holiday show opens today at Radius Gallery in Missoula, Montana. Here are the six paintings I have available, the gallery ships!
Saturday morning Gold
I finalized work on another commission. I intensified the colors and mounted the painting in a floater frame. They wanted a “Montana” inspired grassland, I made light the star of the show. I really like the loose quality of the grass, some really fresh color blends.
Shipping this painting to Western Washington and a couple small works to Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, South Carolina. I have been working nonstop so hoping to relax a bit this Memorial Day Weekend. I hope everyone else enjoys a long weekend!
Under the Sun
I am shipping this painting to Missoula, Montana today. It will be headed to the Radius Gallery, a really great contemporary gallery in downtown Missoula.
Here is a link to some of my work currently at Radius Gallery:
This is an 8″x8″ acrylic painting. I have always liked tonalism and an overcast morning really displays that kind of magic. Now that summer is finally here we are seeing beautiful bright mornings, I will play around with some of that imagery, never enough summer days in this short life.
A lot of my work tends to be autumnal. This one in particular seems appropriate for a Halloween post. The subject is a monkey skull in an old iPhone box. The juxtaposition seems to say it all.
