We are blessed with sunshine and warm days this October in North Idaho. Snow and darkness is just around the corner so I am spending a lot of time hiking and kayaking. It has also inspired a new series of paintings!

A new atmospheric painting on the easel. I had prepared six 12” panels that are my current focus in the studio. Next week I will be moving on to some larger work.

I sold this new painting! It is now varnished, framed and I just need to ship it! It is definitely helpful to have some private sales while I put together a couple collections of work for art galleries.

A new colorful painting in the studio this morning. I have six 12”x12” panels and I am dedicating them all to water imagery.

This painting is available through RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. Today I am homeward bound. I have been away nearly a week, visiting family and friends. Painting from out of the past of the near future.
This time of year is gorgeous but the winter looms! On this trip I signed up for two solo shows. One through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. The other show will be 2025 through Haven Gallery on Long Island, New York. Both will require massive focus, huge amounts of time and of course paint! I took a year off from the solo show grind but am really excited to dig in this winter, and next, to chase the magic. Putting together large and powerful collections. Anything is possible and this is me at my most driven and optimistic… always for art.

Fall, entering the dark season. It brings some melancholy with the beauty. Chasing the vibe on some small panels.

This is the first vertical diptych I have painted. Considering doing something along these lines on a massive scale, so many things to do…

A new painting in my studio. I started with a monochromatic sketch which you can see on the left. The final painting, a dark surreal image.

A large painting available through the RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon!
