Large Landscape

Polarity, 40”x30” acrylic

Another large landscape on the easel. I am working on two paintings this size for a show at Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado.

I have really enjoyed working on such a large cradled board. It seems every time I paint something with some scale I want to do more! As I am finalizing work for my solo show at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon I am also finalizing paintings for a few galleries sprinkled around the country. It seems I am always scrambling.

In the Water (and the air)

In the Water, 7”x10” acrylic

Another small painting as I prepare some larger boards. This isn’t a standard size so if I frame it I will have to order a custom frame. Soon I will have to decide what will be needed at my Astoria, Oregon solo show. That is happening in 6 weeks, suddenly coming up fast.

For the next few days I am just going to paint and focus on what I love. Meanwhile Alberta is burning, shocking to see smoke in North Idaho already.

Saturday morning Gold

I finalized work on another commission. I intensified the colors and mounted the painting in a floater frame. They wanted a “Montana” inspired grassland, I made light the star of the show. I really like the loose quality of the grass, some really fresh color blends.

Shipping this painting to Western Washington and a couple small works to Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, South Carolina. I have been working nonstop so hoping to relax a bit this Memorial Day Weekend. I hope everyone else enjoys a long weekend!

Shadowed Lands

Shadowed Lands 24”x18” acrylic

This painting will be shipped to Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson Hole! I am taking the day to take proper photographs of the art I will be shipping off. It is one of those tasks I always seem to procrastinate. Sometimes I put it off so long I fail to take a decent photo at all! Definitely something I need to work on.

When the sun goes down

Fade Away 16”x20” acrylic on wood panel

My newest sunset painting. I have a long day of varnishing and framing ahead of me. I need to ship off a lot of work this week to a couple different galleries. I am so thankful to have galleries selling my work… still I wish I could spend the day painting.
