I am always excited to see a new summer rolling in. The winters are long so it seems like we earn the warmth up in North Idaho. Forest fires are a big downside, they are getting worst by the year.

“The Woodland” exhibit opening online TODAY! It is a dual show featuring my paintings and the beautiful sculptures of Kristen Egan.

A little bit of color on this Friday morning.

I just sold this apocalyptic piece, will miss seeing it in the studio. Making art that is expressive and unique are always my goals. I know this one really delivered.

Three in the series thus far. I definitely will come back to this idea and do some larger imagery. So many things I want to do!

I finished this painting about 9 months ago. It is currently hanging at the RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. This gallery has been a landmark for art along the Northern Oregon Coast for many years.

Third in the series…

Lightning & Snow: the peanut butter & chocolate of nature. I took this painting outside for the lovely natural light.
Rare post featuring me with my painting.

I have some 12” in the studio so I took myself way off course and played around with some water imagery. It’s good to break things up from time to time.
