I shipped a series of three paintings to a collector in Western Washington this weekend. They are all acrylic paintings on 24″x30″ dibondi panel.

This 12″x9″ painting is on it’s way to Florence, Italy. A beautiful place haven’t been since I was young.
It is a busy week of packing up art and mailing it all over the country and world. Washington, California, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, England, and Italy. I feel really honored to have so much interest in my work.
One day soon I hope to be done with my day job so I can focus on the work I really love.

This weekend I took the big road trip to pack up my Bainbridge Island solo show. On my return I took the ferry across to Edmonds, Wa and dropped this painting off at its new home. This is Ryan holding the painting, one of my very best friends. He talked me into putting my art online, I was resistant for years! He also told me about WordPress and I started my Instagram account shortly there after (@bsostrom) on his recommendation. Thanks Ryan!

I am packing up my Bainbridge Island art show. Exhibits always seem to loom over my small world then they are over, like so many things in life.
Now a lot of driving and a lot of paintings to pack and ship. I am pleased to have sold so many works, now more to do for my next exhibit!

This 20″x16″ painting is a recently completed work. My obsession with atmosphere, light and grande expanses motivated this piece.
The entire collection of three together in the second photograph.

Final digital capture of this 24″x18″ painting currently residing at the Bainbridge Performing Arts Gallery. Once it tires of the island it is on it’s way to England, a permanent home!

A simple little seascape that captures the light and energy well. This 12″x9″ painting is my most recent painting. I am planning on doing a number of fairly small works in the coming weeks.

This 24″x18″ painting is currently at the BPA on Bainbridge Island. Forgive the black bars at the top and bottom!

This painting shares a title with the show I have opening Friday 5-7pm at the Bainbridge Performing Arts Gallery.

This is one of those paintings that seemed to make itself. I carefully moved it from the easel to the table and was thankful.
It traveled from a North Idaho to the BPA on Bainbridge Island, part of the exhibit.
