About the artist:
My name is Brian Sostrom. I am a full-time painter, and a lifetime painter, living in North Idaho. I paint what I consider to be psychological landscapes. Inspired by nature but never striving to do what the camera can.
Shipping Work
Shipping off some sold pieces. Both are acrylic paintings on 12”x12” cradled board.
I typically use the USPS For my smaller pieces. It is the most affordable method!

For people not familiar with me and my work I made a grid. Six of these nine paintings were done in 2019. I have been painting my entire life but have been painting full time now for exactly one year. Thanks to those of you that have helped support my efforts!
Four on the Floor
Collection of works that are at my Vashon Island Exhibit. Show opening is this Friday! These are the only four paintings of this dimension so it was fun to put them together just before I wrapped them for the trip. They are actually hung like this in the gallery but rotated by one… I had nothing to do with it!
The show is at the Vashon Center for the Arts from 6:00-9:00pm. Time to hop on a ferry!

Road through Fire
As an artist I often feel compelled to make work. This year I created s body of work called “Apocalyptic Bloom”. They weren’t paintings the the galleries representing me wanted. It is not artwork that my average collector would be into. Still I took this side road that represented a large part of 2019. I will always follow my artistic curiosities and interests.
This painting is on display at the RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. A new gallery to represent me since I started the journey.
