A large new painting in the studio today. I purchased five pf the big cradled wood panels. Excited to be painting highly atmospheric landscapes.

I was happy to hear that this painting was sold through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. This is an amazing art gallery in a really cool artistic community.

I snuck off to the studio a bit over the weekend. This small cloudscape was the fruit of my efforts. I will start the week with a bit more time dedicated to the sky above.

What was better as a child than a snow day? Now it doesn’t apply to me but the memories still warm my jaded heart. I just came back from my morning hike, impressive amount of snow coming down. The National Forest trail seems a little treacherous and the weather slightly dangerous. It felt great getting exercise and just a little thrilling. I take the thrills where I can find them these days.

Now I am back in the studio painting. I will be posting new work here soon.

Four of my miniature paintings are now available through Haven Gallery! This is a cool contemporary art gallery in Long Island, New York. I have been working with them just over a year now. I will be having a solo show there in 2025. These shows are scheduled far in advance as it takes a huge amount of time to put together a large collection of paintings.

Inspiration from big sky country, it’s only right that I send it to a great gallery in Montana, Radius Gallery. This is one of eight pieces bound for Missoula, Montana.
I just finished framing four small paintings for a coming exhibit at Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. It has been too long since they had any of my paintings in stock, that will be changing! I will be having a solo show at the gallery in May, 2024.

This painting is part of a collection of works that will be available through Radius Gallery in Missoula, Montana. Wild – Wondrous – World is the landscape exhibit which opens in December.
I am currently varnishing, framing and sorting through work for the show. I will have eight pieces of various sizes, this will probably be the largest.

This painting is available through RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. Today I am homeward bound. I have been away nearly a week, visiting family and friends. Painting from out of the past of the near future.
This time of year is gorgeous but the winter looms! On this trip I signed up for two solo shows. One through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. The other show will be 2025 through Haven Gallery on Long Island, New York. Both will require massive focus, huge amounts of time and of course paint! I took a year off from the solo show grind but am really excited to dig in this winter, and next, to chase the magic. Putting together large and powerful collections. Anything is possible and this is me at my most driven and optimistic… always for art.

A new painting, this one was completed over the weekend. Summer tends to get busy with visitors and all the distractions beautiful weather brings. I am trying to carve out as much time to paint as I am able. I always want to be in the studio, I feel restless and adrift when I am not.
