More studio photos of recent work. I have reorganized my jam packed studio… excited to see the work all together. Deciding what will go to my June 11th solo show at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon.

Psychological landscape work! This apocalyptic piece has a tremendous presence in the studio.

More inspiration from winter sunlight in North Idaho.

As a painter I have the freedom to follow my whims wherever they ramble. I am pursuing some work that is a bit more fantastical with no specific plan. The day I started to make real progress on this piece I found out Mark Lanegan passed on. Sadly that is burned into my brain, maybe appropriately so.

A brand new painting in the studio. This one has a real presence in person, almost audible. Probably my favorite recent title as well…

This painting was sold through Elliott Fouts Gallery in Sacramento four years ago. It was part of a big solo exhibit I had, first one to sell out. The show was in February and it took forever to come home with snow related flight cancellations and scary driving… aside from the travel it was a wonderful experience!

I was happy to learn that this painting was sold through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I believe it was the last of my paintings available at the gallery.

I pretty magical small painting that is part of a collection of art I just sent to Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Finished this small painting today. Welcome to September.

This painting really captures our dramatic skies of the season. Clouds pressing in but the blue of summer still shining through.
