Far Distance 12”x12”
This acrylic painting is one of three in a series. Yesterday I sold one of the set but the buyer agreed to let me bring it to the Astoria show, June 9th, which was great! I was not planning on another show so soon and had signed up for a bunch of commissions. I have too much to do but I am really thankful to have people interested in my work.

Burning
This is a 12″x12″ acrylic painting. I have done three sunset related paintings this size. All three will be making an appearance at my Astoria, Oregon show June 9th. I will post more info about the show as it approaches!
Eventide
This 20″x16″ painting is a recently completed work. My obsession with atmosphere, light and grande expanses motivated this piece.

A burning sunset painting, this one is modest in size at 10″x8″.
New Day 12”x9” (WIP)
I am working on a series of colorful “edge of day” paintings. I very frequently work with a rather muted palette so the color is an exciting excursion. It is all about the light and atmosphere so I am letting these images be suggestive and abstracted.
The Big Light
This Painting is currently hanging on Bainbridge Island. It is part of the collection I have at the Bainbridge Performing Arts Gallery through April 1st. The painting is 24″x18″ and has a black floating frame.

Western Glow
This sunset painting is 9″x12″. I often do work that is subdued so it was exciting creating something with do much “heat”. This painting will be on it’s way to a show on Bainbridge Island in just over a week!
Morning Smoke
The terrible forest fires of the west this summer were heartbreaking. The only silver lining was the incredible sunrise and sunsets but I hope we don’t see more fires in coming years… seems to be the way things are headed though.
This painting is 24”x36” acrylic and open acrylic paint.
