I was pleased to learn that this painting was sold through Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming. It was an older piece I had nearly forgotten about, a nice surprise.

A new painting in celebration of summer light and the good things.
Excited to be back in the states and more importantly back in my studio. Painting is a solitary adventure I constantly crave.

A new 18”x18” painting on cradled board. I have primed and prepared 5 of these boards for new work. I can feel them calling to me as I write this.
I am eager to get back home and back to my studio to continue my work. A family medical emergency has prevented that from happening any time soon. The feeling of uncertainty is always present in life, stronger these days.
A morning walk around Copenhagen, Denmark. It’s always interesting to spend time alone walking in a new place imagining another life. So many possibilities in this short time we have. I am not a city person, I crave nature and peaceful places but fantasies are entertaining.
Another look at this painting. A look at it in the studio in video form. I find myself “stuck” in Europe due to a family medical emergency. I was eager to get back to my work in the studio but life is filled with the unexpected.

A brief visit to Aarhus in Denmark. I was on a Viking Cruise and had an afternoon to explore this city. Not nearly enough time to see the city or the absolutely stunning art museum. it famously has a rainbow ring around the top that you can stroll through if you are not too afraid of heights!

This is one of a few large atmospheric paintings I am currently working on in the studio. I recently returned from a long cruise, more ocean related adventures coming this summer. Adventures take me away from the studio but they also fuel my desires.
I thought I would post my Instagram Reels of this recent painting. It feels like the perfect piece to kick off Memorial Day weekend!

This painting was sold a couple years ago through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I am currently witnessing a lot of gorgeous seas and contemplating future paintings. It has been a gift to have a long and only briefly planned voyage to the Caribbean with one of my best buddies. I definitely have been thinking about painting relentlessly, eager to get back to my work.

This large painting is available through RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. The gallery currently has a large collection of my work!
