A new painting inspired by Lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho. It is always amazing how quickly the colors and values shift as the sun rises. I have become fairly obsessed in my later days.

I have a small collection of new paintings available at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon!

I just shipped off this painting. It is headed to a new home in Connecticut, a state I have never been to. I am very grateful to my collectors and supporters. I spend a ridiculous amount of time working in my studio but I am so thankful to be doing what I love for a living.

A year ago I finished this painting. It was sold through Radius Gallery in Missoula, Montana.

This painting is fairly shimmering with golden light. More inspiration from the landscape surrounding me in North Idaho.
A bit of melancholy with the loss of summer light. I am excited to see neighbors fleeing for the south. A silent winter is a painting paradise.

This painting just sold through Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado.

An older painting that was purchased a couple years ago by some close friends. They took a long vacation to North Idaho to visit. This marks the last day of their stay.

A large new sunset in the studio. It has become clear to me that I am obsessed with transitions of lighting. Fleeting moments that are so beautiful and momentary as to break your heart. This weekend I went to a celebration of life for my beloved Aunt. Life is just as temporary as the fading light… the reminders are growing. It is impossible not to dwell in these thoughts.

This big nocturnal painting is available through Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming. It is difficult not to fall for the moon.
