We had some rain last night in North Idaho. The sky is bright and we have a break from the wildfire smoke. It feels like a miracle. I just finished this painting and it really reflects the beauty of the day.

This small painting is from February of this year. Another idea I have meant to explore a bit more.

This one is still a work in progress. I have a number of paintings evolving this week. Preparing for my solo show at Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina.

This painting is going to part of my solo show at Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I am working very hard and making decisions about the paintings I have.

I just finished this painting yesterday afternoon. The backlit clouds and intensity of hue are pretty effective!

Varnishing and finalizing this painting. Shipping it across the border to Washington State this week!
I am fortunate and so great full that I am continuing to sell my work during these times.

I closed out my show in Western Washington. A lot of travel and time away from the studio. Great excuse to see family and friends.

This time of year light does seem like something either remembered or glimpsed shining on a distant mountain. Light is the star of the show in this painting.
I am going to be putting coats of varnish on this piece today, then time to frame!

Collecting high resolution photographs of your art is critical. At the very least it is something worth looking at later to see how your work has changed and hopefully evolved. I frequently fail to capture images of my paintings and it’s a shame to sell work without retaining a digital version.
Over the weekend I did manage to take some photographs of my recent works. These aren’t the highest resolution, I scaled them down for the website.
I was motivated by a deadline, it always seems to take a deadline!
