My ongoing collection of small forest paintings. I am not taking the mornings for granted.

Eye makes a special appearance. I was excited to paint trees catching the morning light. I am hiking early every morning, it is an inspiration.

I varnished and framed this little collection. They will be heading to Radius Gallery in Missoula, Montana.

One of two small forest paintings I just finished painting. The western smoke seems to be seeping into my work.

Heartbreaking as it fades.

A little collection of moody forest paintings.

This painting sold through Abend Gallery, part of my current solo show. Labor Day weekend started with a fire on the mountain I live below. Some folks lost everything and the forest caught fire, luckily it seems to be out now. I paint this sort of thing but I don’t take it lightly. Fire is amazing, beautiful and utterly terrifying.

Small study of mood and forest. I have managed to work away a beautiful summer, they disappear so quickly now.

This painting is part of my solo show at Abend Gallery in Denver.

Inspiration from the Priest Lake area of North Idaho.
