A little island dream.

I am currently working on some thunderhead imagery. Continuing to paint more lake related imagery as well.
After a days work I shuffled off in my kayak. The landscape is always mind blowing. I realize all of my efforts toward beauty are nonsense.

A bit of inspiration from the home water, Lake Pend Oreille. The atmosphere can be pure magic when the clouds are moving. It doesn’t get old for me.

This painting captures the spring transition here on Lake Pend Oreille. Currently much less snow than when I painted this a few weeks back.

Atmospherics and lighting are always intriguingly me. When nature stops me in my tracks, I take note.

I love dramatic weather. Capturing a sense of that power and feel is an exciting challenge. This one will be at my August solo show at Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado.

I often wish I lived on an island. In a way I suppose I do.
