A small yet mighty new painting. Celebrating the cloud breaks of autumn.
I now have two of these 12” square beauties. I will probably send them to a gallery but I am still trying to sort out what is going where.

I just varnished and framed this painting. It will be part of a collection of new work heading to Radius Gallery in Missoula, Montana. Wild – Wondrous – World is the landscape exhibit which opens in December.

Lake Pend Oreille has been a constant source of inspiration in my painting for nearly eight years. The shifting atmospherics through the seasons fills me with enthusiasm. The weather can be pretty rough but the studio stays warmish.

I am currently varnishing, framing and sorting through work for the show. I will have eight pieces of various sizes, this will probably be the largest.

Fall is a gorgeous time of year, also a bit melancholy. The color and lighting of the season is incredibly inspiring. It pulls me away from the work I was planning. More autumnal images to come.

I am putting together a couple collections of small works. These will be available later in the fall at a couple of galleries TBD.

We are blessed with sunshine and warm days this October in North Idaho. Snow and darkness is just around the corner so I am spending a lot of time hiking and kayaking. It has also inspired a new series of paintings!

I sold this new painting! It is now varnished, framed and I just need to ship it! It is definitely helpful to have some private sales while I put together a couple collections of work for art galleries.

I really dig this small painting. As an artist I am always chasing something intangible, some kind of magic. I can really feel it when it is there. I used to feel endless disappointment in my work, now I am really into what I do but it is the exceptional vibe I pursue.

A large painting available through the RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon!
