I live on Lake Pend Oreille which makes me pretty fortunate. The lake is the largest and deepest lake in Idaho. Most important of all it is incredibly beautiful. I feel inspired and in awe of the beauty, it is my muse.

This large piece is at Abend Gallery in Denver Colorado. One of my favorite paintings of the year… it’s been a good year!

Winter Light, 20”x24” acrylic
So hard to let the summer go. Each year I promise to make the very most of the season. Yet it has slipped away while I was pushing paint around. Winter is coming, I don’t hate it. The silent isolation is made for painting.

I am currently doing some subtle color layers on this sunset painting. I find myself with a lot of large works in early stages. This one is getting close.

This one of two paintings I have at Gallery MAR Carmel in Carmel, California. I dropped in to check out the gallery when I was on my California vacation. Great gallery in a cool town!

Today is the final day for my exhibit “Apocalyptic Beauty” at the RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. This painting is part of my collection of work… last chance today!

Freshly varnished at the 7b studio spray booth! This is a shot from a week or so ago.
Even though the spray booth pulls the air through the studio well, I do not use it unless I am done working for the day.

This painting is currently on display at Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado. This is one of two paintings I have in a group show called “The Land”. Check out this great exhibit if you are in the Denver area!
