North Winds

North Winds – 18”x24”, acrylic painting

More inspiration from the home water, Lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho! I am obsessed with the changing landscape and it is an endless well of inspiration.

I used to consider 18”x24” to be a large painting. They now seem small but are a really great size to work on. Plenty of room for expression but small enough to cover relatively quickly, I am working on a series of these misty images with plans to paint much larger work in the near future. My plans are always fluid, always following my enthusiasm of the moment.

Happy Holidays!!

Autumn Bloom

Autumn Bloom – 16”x20”, acrylics

Fall has slipped into winter. Thought I would share this new painting to commemorate the season finale. I rarely varnish and frame work as soon as I complete it but this painting cried out to be fully finished. I do not generally chase the season when I am painting but I follow my enthusiasms and nature is always sparking my imagination.

Miniatures (Haven)

Miniatures on my art table

Four of my miniature paintings are now available through Haven Gallery! This is a cool contemporary art gallery in Long Island, New York. I have been working with them just over a year now. I will be having a solo show there in 2025. These shows are scheduled far in advance as it takes a huge amount of time to put together a large collection of paintings.

Winter Path (December)

Winter Path – 10”x10”, acrylics

We woke up to snow this morning, to mark the start of December. I thought I would mark the occasion with a small winter painting from 2022. This one was sold to a collector. I am also attaching a video from my morning hike, such a change overnight!
