Six large paintings that are part of the collection I packed off to the Lewis-Clark State College. These are each 24″x24″.
Now that the chaos of show prep is behind me I am scaling back the size of my works again. More experimentations!

Edges I & II
These 24″x24″ acrylic paintings have just been finished up. Technically I still have to sign and varnish but the images themselves are complete. These were inspired by the time just before the snow arrived!
New Tides
This is a series of three paintings I am calling “New Tides I, II, & III”. These paintings are 24″x 24″ acrylic paintings. More large work for my upcoming show in January!
Shine
I am finally getting to some 24″x24″ paintings. There is a lot more freedom with all that space!
Continuing on with desolate landscapes and waterscapes. I have decided to call my January show “The Beauty of Nothing”, seems to sum it all up nicely.
Distance
10″x10″ acrylicpainting. This will officially do it for small works for the near future. Time is feeling very short until the next show, I am doing a bunch of 16″x16″ paintings and working up from there. I need a time machine!
River Flows
A nocturnal image inspired by Kootenai Wildlife Refuge. We took a weekend trip up there and enjoyed the big open valley and mountain ranges.
This acrylic painting is another in my small 10″x10″ series I have been on too long.
Revival
This little painting came together quickly and had a bit of magic in my mind. It is another 10″x10″ acrylic painting.
Now that I have been painting in the attic for a bit I have it somewhat organized. I am going to paint a half dozen more pieces this size and then move up to some larger works finally!
October Sky
Work inspired by the grey skies and endlessly shifting light of Lake Pend Oreille. Even though it was hard to let go of the sunshine of summer nature always brings the beauty.
This is an Acrylic painting 10″x10″ in size.
Across the way
A painting I did over the weekend. Acrylic 10″x 10″ using a brush, knife and squeegee. I am aiming to let the simple marks stand and resonate. Sometimes simple work is surprisingly difficult to do. I want my paintings to have a fresh immediacy so my tendency to overwork and muddle is being shelved (in theory).
Two works
A couple of mood pieces I recently completed. Both paintings are 10″x10″acrylic.
I spent much of the morning prepping some more boards and starting on a new image.
I am trying to organize the attic space so that it is an easier space in which to work. Dark and cold it is still a place I love to be!
