A new piece in the studio. This is the smallest painting I have done this year. I have a number of small boards primed so there shall be more. Forgive my hand for imitating a foot.

A new painting in the studio today. This large vertical painting captures the Lake Pend Oreille mood of late spring. I love watching the atmospheric qualities shift on the lake, it was the inspiration.

I love weather systems moving across the lake. Expansive daylight with sunshine ahead. This painting is bound for Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina.

I signed this painting in 2023. It never felt complete so I spent a couple days this week working on it. Now it is varnished and soon it will be framed and shipped to Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina!

This is one of three paintings in the show on square 24” wood cradled board. I hadn’t painted panels this particular dimension since college which is an odd thing to realize.
The painting is inspired by the smoke filled skies that are far too common in Summer.
