I spent some more time capturing photos of recent work. This one is still a favorite of mine.

Another dramatic sky blanketing this seascape. I tend to think of many of my works as emotional landscapes. I would not call myself an “emotional landscape painter” simply because I find labels to be limiting. I probably just have a contrary nature.

What’s in a name? Nothing or maybe everything… this painting seems to call out it’s name.

A morning of framing and mounting hangers on sold pieces. This one is headed to Australia!

A lovely little painting from just about a year ago. This painting now resides in California.

This painting shares its title with the ongoing series. It is such a bloom, I just couldn’t help it! The piece is probably my favorite to date in the series. These paintings are a bit hypnotic, I find myself lost in thought staring into them.

This painting is now in Jackson Hole, Wyoming at Horizon Fine Art Gallery. It is a strange feeling spending so much time on a collection of paintings, pouring yourself into them. Box them up and they are out of your life forever. The same can be said for people that come and go from a life though mostly without the boxing (inevitable there too).
The sun is breaking free of the clouds now. Happy Tuesday, I am onto other projects!

I have always loved big open spaces. Something that is getting harder to find in our modern world.
One of many magical things about water is the open distance. People often suggest I add a boat or plane to my paintings… no.
