A new painting in my Idaho studio. I am so excited for the long days of summer.

I was happy to hear this painting was sold through RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon!

A bit of crimson and gray on the easel, perhaps a dragon. I am continuing my work on 18” x 24” panels, very fun scale to work at.
I have show coming up this summer at Radius Gallery in Missoula, Montana. I have a long way to go, not a lot of time.

Detail of a new painting in the studio. I am currently painting a number of 24” x 18” pieces, nice to have a little more room to roam.

This dark waterscape is part of my upcoming solo show at Haven Gallery! The exhibit is titled “The Shadowland” it opens March 29th.
This was the last painting framed for the show. I thought this was a 9” x 12” painting but when I went to frame it I discovered it was 10” wide… a rush shipping and I got the proper frame just in time!

I have spent this week painting some small work. It is very satisfying finishing these little pieces so quickly, a bit of a break. I will be buying more small boards to work out ideas for larger paintings.

A new painting on the easel, inspiration from my home in Idaho. I am working on many new pieces at the moment, much more to come. I am ramping up for my ponchos at Haven Gallery. I am always painting but now with a specific bit of focus.

A very tranquil stretch of shoreline on the easel. This painting has a lot of subtle color and texture interplay. The calm retreat of light.

A new painting in the studio! I am currently preparing a lot of boards that are this size and 16” x 20”. These will be keeping me busy throughout much of the very dark winter season.

I posted this painting a while back but wasn’t entirely happy with it. A bit more saturation and detail and now it is complete!
