This new painting was inspired by my daily hikes in the National Forest near my home. Growing up I was fortunate to have a dad who worked for the US Forest Service! We had so many great adventures in the back country.

Winter Dream
A new winter scene on the studio easel. I love nature, it is a constant source of inspiration and joy. I tend to use nature as a jumping off point. My paintings tend to be fantastical dreamscapes, this is a good example. The paint is also the subject, I obsess over paint blending and mark making.
