Some mornings I am in the groove, this has been a good one! I love spending my time painting, never thought I would be able to do this full time. Very grateful things have gone the way they have.

Three new paintings have just arrived at Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming! From biggest to smallest they are titled; Drift of Thought, Chasing and Morning.
I am in the middle of prepping more work for a Florida gallery and one private sale. I had hoped to finish it all this weekend but it has not happened.

An older piece from a few years back. This one has that elusive magic that drives me forward. Making a living as an artist is a difficult task. More than simply earning enough to pay the bills. For me it is a calling and the core of this one and only life. I know most people don’t really understand that, even close friends.

Varnishing and framing my collection of paintings in preparation for my June 11th solo show. Twenty two paintings will be on display at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. I will also be on display at the opening, to some degree.

I was happy to learn that this painting sold through Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming. I have been working with the gallery for about 5 years now. Hopefully I can get more work to them soon. I have been swamped putting together work for my June solo show.

I was happy to learn that this painting was sold through Abend Gallery, in Denver, Colorado. It’s a funny thing I rarely here from galleries about sales… checks just show up in the mailbox. I am so grateful I get to spend my days painting. The paychecks are sporadic but so much more meaningful.
Another small snow painting. This one from the deck of my studio which has far too much snow weight on it. I should have done more shoveling before it turned rock hard. I guess painting wins out on most of the projects I need to do.

New work happening in the studio. As you can see through the window I am living in snow country. These winter days are a great time to stay in and dedicate myself to painting. It is really what I want to be doing with most of my time anyway.
A quick little glimpse into my studio today. This painting is starting to take shape. Mood, mystery and atmosphere always elements I pursue in my work. Have a great weekend.

I was happy to learn that this painting was sold through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I believe it was the last of my paintings available at the gallery.
