Monday was my 47th consecutive day working in the studio. Truly hitting the wall and burning out. An amazing winter squall came raging through, I was back on board.

Cloud painting on wooden panel.

Springtime Dreams
20”x16”, acrylic
Just a little springtime fantasy painting.

I love a dramatic sky. This painting is one of my favorite recent works. It will probably be heading to my Solo Show at Abend Gallery in August. I have so much to do for two shows, good to have some powerful pieces in my back pocket.

I often wish I lived on an island. In a way I suppose I do.

Small Sky (SOLD)
5”x5”, acrylic
I shipped these off to their new homes. One is headed to the UK the other one Virginia.

This is part of my “Woodland” series. There is a video about the creation on my YouTube channel.
I noticed it was bright and clear this morning just after 6:00 AM. The days are getting longer and I am excited!

This painting just sold through Elliott Fouts Gallery. This beautiful Sacramento gallery has been good to me! I have been sending them artwork for many years and they hosted a great solo show just a year ago.

More snow coming, more winter paintings ahead. It felt like spring was coming early, I knew it was just a temporary state. Just another excuse to paint some more winter imagery. There is a feeling I am chasing with some of these works… so more opportunities.

I have a number of projects ongoing today, everyday. This one has a great feel.
On a related note, I always aim to rise above. It seems awful easy to be drug down into the mud.
