I love this time of year. The days still getting longer. Campfires the perfect ending to the day.

I am painting a collection of square 20” landscapes on wooden panels. This is the third painting in the series. I am hoping to do four more paintings this size!

Working on some 20” square wooden panels. I used to avoid the square format. Now I appreciate the fact that they are so void of composition, so blank before the paint.

Final capture of this piece I sold last week. Now I just need to sign it, varnish and frame the painting! I always postpone those final details… reluctant to commit to the permanence I suppose.

Final capture of this unusual piece.

I love watching rain washing over the distance. The farther you see, the better perspective you have.

I sent this image to Abend Gallery as a promo shot for my solo show in August. I have resisted selling this painting, holding onto it for the exhibit.

Small paintings on panel.

A bit of inspiration from the home water, Lake Pend Oreille. The atmosphere can be pure magic when the clouds are moving. It doesn’t get old for me.
