This morning I put the finishing touches on this small painting. I have a number of boards this unusual size. I will have to order custom floater frames when the time comes.

I sold this painting to a collector over the weekend. This piece was part of an Instagram story showing a number of paintings I was varnishing. It has been a while since I sold a piece so randomly, lifted my spirits a bit. Now it is framed and ready for its voyage to Atlanta, Georgia!

This photo was taken 5 weeks ago, much warmer days. Now I am wearing layers and a stocking cap in the studio. Acrylic paint dries much more slowly with these temperatures which is a benefit of the season!

I have been painting a lot of forest scenes recently. It occurred to me that this is a pattern I have followed for a few years in the fall. The low sun this time of year is beautiful and haunting. It drives home the temporary quality of our existence.

This large wave painting is now available at the Grand Bohemian Gallery in St. Augustine, Florida!

A new seascape in the studio. Something a bit more peaceful and heavenly. This painting was commissioned through a gallery by a great collector of mine. She is going to be gifting it to a friend with cancer… hopefully the tranquility and light will provide both to her.

I was happy to learn that this painting was sold through Haven Gallery in New York. It is part of a group exhibit featuring art inspired by the Uffizi Gallery.

This painting was just sold through Haven Gallery in New York. It is part of a group exhibit that opened yesterday, art inspired by the Uffizi Gallery. This painting is an apocalyptic take on a Rembrandt etching of the same name.

Studio shot of this ethereal golden painting. I have four of these that I am finishing up. Then it is on to the large commission of a similar theme. I am rather buried in commissions, I rarely take them but now I am signed up for a lot.
