Madison Museum of Contemporary Art

A quick visit to the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. A really impressive building with a great rooftop sculpture garden though very limited number of sculptures. One interesting exhibit but other space was in transition so a bit limited. It was heavily damaged in the riots so it seemed to be in restoration mode.

Note: WSU mask, go Cougs!

On a trip to Madison, Wisconsin I have found some time to rest explore and see some great artwork. Wonderful collection at the Chazen Museum of Art at the University of Wisconsin.

I was so excited to see an impressive collection of Beth Cavener sculptures. I have been a tremendous fan of hers for years and it was a surprise to stumble upon some of her more iconic pieces at the museum.

Autumn and Gold (in motion)

Autumn and Gold – 18”x24”, Acrylic

Framed and available at Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming! I generally just post static shots of my paintings but it is nice to see the work in motion. It still doesn’t capture the essence of the art but it gives the viewer an alternate view.

Summer Rain (shipping)

Summer Rain – 12”x12”, acrylic

I just shipped off this painting. It is headed to a new home in Connecticut, a state I have never been to. I am very grateful to my collectors and supporters. I spend a ridiculous amount of time working in my studio but I am so thankful to be doing what I love for a living.
