A newly completed commission, arranged through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. Some very sweet art collectors have been patiently waiting for me to finish this one!
This is an unusual size so I had the board custom made. In the past I have built my own boards but it is more time away from painting.

I have been working on some small paintings. Using up some boards and finding satisfaction in some fresh pieces. I really love studio days, in a snow filled landscape.
Some mornings I am in the groove, this has been a good one! I love spending my time painting, never thought I would be able to do this full time. Very grateful things have gone the way they have.

This photo was taken 5 weeks ago, much warmer days. Now I am wearing layers and a stocking cap in the studio. Acrylic paint dries much more slowly with these temperatures which is a benefit of the season!
I am continuing some autumnal forest paintings in the studio. I have four of these pieces in the works. After immersing myself into this I will be switch to some much larger panels, 30”x30”.
I put my life into a very short clip.

This new painting is now available through the Grande Bohemian Gallery in St. Augustine, Florida! This one has an incredible sense of atmosphere and light when you see it in person… never really comes across here.

I framed this painting over Labor Day weekend. yesterday I boxed it up with two other pieces and shipped it to Wyoming. They will be arriving next Monday at Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson Hole.
Another summer has slipped away. It always breaks my heart. As the days get short and the weather becomes terrible I will spend even more time in the studio working… that is the silver lining.

An older piece from a few years back. This one has that elusive magic that drives me forward. Making a living as an artist is a difficult task. More than simply earning enough to pay the bills. For me it is a calling and the core of this one and only life. I know most people don’t really understand that, even close friends.
