This large painting has been hanging out in my studio for a few seasons. I almost sent it to my solo show in Asheville this May but decided to hang onto it for a little while.

The nonstop small painting continues. This painting has inspired me to work on a couple of 18” x 24” paintings of a similar vibe. I am interested in pushing the moody nature of this piece at a grander scale.

Continuing work on my small paintings this summer. Starting to get a real collection of these works. They are bound to grow come winter…

The sky is an endless source of inspiration. Chasing subtle shifts in light and shadow. The orchestrated chaos of my painting style brought this piece to life.

I am working on more small paintings. Squeezing in studio time into these busy summer days. These works will be headed to a number of “small works” exhibits this fall. I usually am rushing to finish small works in September/October but this year I will be ready!

This painting is available through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. It combines some of my favorite elements, dynamic light, clouds and atmospheric landscape… plus water of course! Endless inspiration from Lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho.

A new painting in the studio. We have had some pretty spectacular sunsets of late. I was inspired to capture that ethereal fade of light.
I am preparing a lot of small boards and will be painting many small works this summer.

I love the night and lonesome moon. I am not unique, you feel it too.

This meditative painting is available through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I have a lot of imagery in my mind along this line. I hope to do some larger format paintings in the near future.

This summer I am busy working on some smaller paintings. Trying to find a balance of summer fun with family and friends and my studio obsession. Small works are a great way to explore ideas, the best ones will inspire larger paintings in the future.
