Reduction and a bit of abstraction in this mood/cloudscape.

As the name implies this one is from January. Taking high resolution images of my woodland paintings before I varnish and frame.
Though it is spring the last two days have started winter white. Spring seems to have taken a breath.

Beautiful in its own terrible way. That being said I am hoping this summer is free of wildfires and frightening viruses.

A final capture of this painting, it will be part of “The Woodland” show. The tree adjacent to the tree in this painting blew over in a recent windstorm… towers fall.

The second painting in the series. I have painted three thus far plus some variations.

Catching up with more high resolution photos of recent work.

Three water paintings I am working on for Abend Gallery in Denver. Using some really great panels from artefexart!
Artefex Rigid Panels

Final capture of this painting from six weeks ago. What a different world it was. I wonder what things will look like six weeks from now? I guess we will have to wait and see.

Forest art is filling much of my studio. Beginning to narrow the collection of works for “The Woodlands” show at Higher Art Gallery in Traverse City, MI.
I think all of the galleries I send work to are currently shut down. A time of unknowns, will have to wait and see.

From imagery stuck in my mind. I am painting this series of paintings until my focus shifts… it tends to shift frequently.
