Two recent paintings on the studio table. Paintings are really piling up this year. I generally pick through older works and reuse the boards if I don’t think the paintings are up to my standards. These two will probably be kept.

This one resides in Kirkland, Washington with some of my favorite people.

I finished this apocalyptic beauty over the weekend. This image is from a high resolution photograph in my studio this morning.

Simplification and abstraction, concepts I play with to varying degrees in my work. This little painting is all about the feel of light.

I have been painting some of the local colors I see on my early morning hikes. Now it seems that winter has snuck in. This morning I will see if the trail is treacherous. No doubt there will be some winter imagery in the future.

This small piece is available through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I put this one in a really beautiful custom made floater frame that has a copper tint.

Holiday show opens today at Radius Gallery in Missoula, Montana. Here are the six paintings I have available, the gallery ships!

I started this painting just about a year ago. I decided it was time to finish it or prep the surface for a new painting. I ended up adding some wave detail and strengthening the contrast.

Another painting now at Radius Gallery in Missoula, Montana. I have six pieces in the exhibit which will open November 7th, 2020.

Winter came raging in though Fall is still at work. Time is short on hours, less this time of year. Monochromatic winter looms and palettes shift.
