A new painting, this one was created as a diptych. It is more impactful as a stand alone image so that is how I will keep it. I love the atmosphere and simplicity of this piece.

This new painting is now complete. I love painting dramatic sky scapes and seascapes. I still need to sign, varnish and frame so a bit more to do. If I end up shipping this to a client or gallery that is another step!

A new painting on the easel in my studio today! I continue my obsession with atmosphere, light and lakes of the north. I wish I could hold onto the moments and feelings. Painting is the only way I know.

I was pleased to learn that this misty seascape was sold through RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon.

I am continuing to capture the feelings of February. The daylight is stretching and our winter snow is receding. I know winter has not finished with us.

This painting was sold through RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. I often don’t know about sales until a check shows up in my mailbox. It is always a pleasant surprise to receive a check rather than the usual “endless parade” of bills.

This painting is part of my solo exhibit “Dreams Between Darkness” at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. The exhibit runs through July 5th!

Bringing it back home today with a new painting in the studio. Inspiration from Lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho. I always think of this as my home water. It has been for more than 6 years now.

Final studio capture of this dramatic cloudscape. I am still putting together my solo show collection, photographing some of the finished pieces.

I am working on a couple large cloudscapes. I like brooding work that is both beautiful and a bit surreal. I think of these works as psychological paintings or dreamscapes.
