Another square cloud exploration.

Final high resolution capture of this painting. It will probably be headed to “The Woodland” show.

A final capture of this painting, it will be part of “The Woodland” show. The tree adjacent to the tree in this painting blew over in a recent windstorm… towers fall.

I sold this painting last weekend while it was a WIP through my Instagram stories. It always picks me up, selling work unexpectedly. I immediately waste the money on art supplies, circle of life.

Timbered, 16”x12” acrylic
I love the somber quality of fog drifting through the forest. Today is sunny and that’s not bad either.

A year ago I had a solo show at Elliott Fouts Gallery. This is one of the many pieces sold at that exhibit. I flew down for the opening, such a fun trip and great gallery. Part of the appeal of solo shows is the adventure!

One of five paintings I have been preparing to ship to Wyoming. These are all 12″ paintings framed with black floater frames. These frames have become my default. The frames present the entire painting rather than covering the edges. They provide a clean modern look that works well with most of my work.

Straight on photo of this painting sitting on my largest easel.

A painting inspired by the ridge that blocks much of the low winter sun. We have loads of snow coming which is inspiring a lot of winter artwork this year.
Though the daylight is brief the combination of snow and moon last night made for a magical evening. I guess it’s only a matter of time before I paint some large moonlight related imagery.
