Final studio capture of this dramatic cloudscape. I am still putting together my solo show collection, photographing some of the finished pieces.

I am working on a new series of water paintings. These are painted on a deep cradled board. I am finishing the edges with gold leaf rather than simply framing them. Some of these paintings will be at my solo show “Dreams Between Darkness”, June 11th at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon.

More studio photos of recent work. I have reorganized my jam packed studio… excited to see the work all together. Deciding what will go to my June 11th solo show at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon.
A new reel honoring the ending of the winter season for 2022. The snow is melting fast here so this year it seems accurate! This is my favorite winter painting of the year, seemed like the appropriate one to post.

Final studio capture of this winter scene. Inspired by my short walk to the art studio. Winter has been lovely but I am looking forward to a change in the season.

More inspiration from winter sunlight in North Idaho.

This painting is being shipped to a buyer in Florida. So many sales in Florida these days. I know have some friends moving to Florida, I am still in the snow country.
Just a note the title has nothing to do with pessimism. There is a town called Hope, Idaho… east of me where I often catch the moon rising. I don’t generally explain titles but this one, for once, wasn’t dour.

I am taking some high resolution studio photos of recent work. This hopeful painting is willfully contrary to all the dark news. I wish I could focus on the gifts in life.

More nocturnal painting happening in the studio. Outside the wind is howling and everything is frozen. The moon is beautiful yet indifferent.

This one has shipped to its new home in Colorado. I am pretty selective regarding commissions I take, this was a fun one.
