One of three paintings inspired by summer storms on Lake Pend Oreille. It is an awesome spectacle to see thunderstorms rolling across the large expanse of water!
I will post the collection of three together this week!

I will post the collection of three together this week!

This painting is framed up and ready for my upcoming solo exhibit! The colors were tricky to capture with a camera. Some darker paintings tend to be a challenge when it comes to getting a good digital representation.
On my small easel with a glimpse of the studio in the background.

This is one of three storm paintings I have recently finished. This particular one is now framed and ready for the Pendleton, Oregon exhibit!

I just signed, varnished, framed and added a wire hanger to this 14″x11″ painting. I am going through the process of finalizing my latest collection of works for the next show. So many details go into each exhibit, well beyond the painting.
Next I will photograph everything and create a catalog of the works for the Pendleton Center for the Arts!
The gallery sent me some of the cards they made up to promote my exhibit!

The show runs August 2nd-31 at the Pendleton Center for the Arts in Pendleton, Oregon. The artist reception is opening night!
I just shipped this painting off yesterday! It is another Ugallery sale. I have been a Ugallery artist for about a year and a half and have found it to be a great company to work with. They originally contacted me through Instagram (@bsostrom). The gallery promotes your work in various ways. When they make a sale the gallery mails the artist well built packaging and provide prepaid postage online.
It is another source of income and one I need to devote more work to in the future!

Another painting in my brooding landscape series. I hope to have 4 of these totally finished for my next solo show. It opens in Pendleton, Oregon at the Arts Center August 2nd!
I recently completed this little painting. It has a nice sense of mystery and light.

This little 14″x11″ painting is a studio in atmosphere and light, like so much of my work.
I am working on a bunch of new paintings for my upcoming Pendleton, Oregon solo show. I will put this one in a floating frame for the show!

This painting is being used as a promo image for my upcoming show in Pendleton, Oregon. The show is at the Pendleton Center for the Arts during the month of August!
