A small painting with a lot of light! This one is 8″x8″.
I have a show on Bainbridge Island to install at the end of the month. I am working on a collection for that exhibit. To soon to say what will make the cut!

This 16″x16″ painting was part of the 27 painting collection I delivered yesterday. The solo show is in Longview, Wa at the Lower Columbia College. The exhibit will run from February 14th through March 14th.

I seem to be painting a lot of clouds these days. Giant powerful and full of mood they have always fascinated me so I am simply following my interests. This particular painting is 16″x16″ acrylic / open acrylic painting on cradled board.
As a painter I am striving to paint work that feels unique and new with a fresh vibrant use of color and mark making. The goal is a bit like shooting at the moon, I realize it is impossible but it doesn’t stop me. This particular painting is simple but encapsulates a lot of what I am striving for.

This 24”x 18” painting has shipped off to a collector in San Francisco, CA. I was saving it for one of my two looming show deadlines but a fella has to make some money when he can!
This painting really has a beautiful apocalyptic vibe which was fun in the studio, plus we find ourselves at 2 minutes to midnight. Hopefully, the purchaser will enjoy this piece in the remaining two minutes!

This 16″x16″ acrylic painting is fresh from yesterdays easel. I took a break from the work required for the two upcoming solo shows and just enjoyed the process of creating… it is after all everything.

This is a painting I have entered into the “large formats” contest on minted. It is 24″x30″, if you want to help me out give it a vote with the attached link!

Once again trying to capture the feeling of snow falling on the lake. This is another 24″x30″ acrylic painting on panel.
Mark making is always an important element in my painting process. I was pleased with the results on this piece. The suggestion of movement and precipitation is there but it also has an expressive quality that elevates the image.
30″x24″
Watching snow fall onto the rough water of Lake Pend Oreille is inspirational! There is a hypnotic quality to the combined movements of drifting flakes and rolling waves. I am playing around with this idea in some recent works, this is one of the larger paintings.

This is another 24″x24″ painting I very recently completed as part of a commission.
Bold lighting elements and soft moody atmospheric work is seemingly simple but is very challenging to paint with acrylic and open acrylic paint.
I am drawn to enigmatic imagery and though this subject is straight forward it still has a bit of mystery…. that’s what it’s all about for me.
