Taking an unplanned artistic excursion. Excited to see where this will take me. I have four 12” x 12” panels, I will do a collection!

This large painting has been hanging out in my studio for a few seasons. I almost sent it to my solo show in Asheville this May but decided to hang onto it for a little while.

Continuing work on my small paintings this summer. Starting to get a real collection of these works. They are bound to grow come winter…

This meditative painting is available through Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina. I have a lot of imagery in my mind along this line. I hope to do some larger format paintings in the near future.

This summer I am busy working on some smaller paintings. Trying to find a balance of summer fun with family and friends and my studio obsession. Small works are a great way to explore ideas, the best ones will inspire larger paintings in the future.

As a bit of a reset I am currently painting some small boards ranging from the size of this painting to 12” x 16”. Once I have a bit of a collection I will switch back to larger format painting. Small paintings are a nice way to investigate ideas and techniques a bit more quickly. More to come!

My 2024 solo show at Momentum Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina ends June 22nd! Last chance to see this huge collection in person. These paintings represent a huge chunk of time, I poured my heart into them.
Thank you to Samantha Keely Smith, for providing the video I used in this reel. She is one of my favorite painters, check her out if you haven’t seen her work!

A photo of me with “Through Darkness” just before I shipped it to Momentum Gallery. This painting is part of my solo show on view through June 22nd in Asheville, North Carolina.

A new piece in the studio. This is the smallest painting I have done this year. I have a number of small boards primed so there shall be more. Forgive my hand for imitating a foot.

The 24” square format is a pretty satisfying size to paint. Plenty of room for expression with a real sense of presence. I will definitely doing more work on these wood panels moving forward!
