Framing the Moon
Christmas is rapidly closing in. I have all of my presents wrapped so I snuck over to the studio to do some framing. I have a lot of this sort of work to do at the beginning of 2019… I will split my time with painting. I get fidgety knowing I will be out of the studio a lot in the coming week!
The size of things?
This painting is on an 18″x14″ board. Not entirely a standard size for frames but I have found a few floater frame options. Lately I have been working on larger panels, it is hard to go back to small boards! This size might become my new “small painting”.

Dear Diary
I find myself chasing ethereal beauty in my work. Trying to find that otherworldly magic that is impossible. Once in a while I catch a glimpse and it keeps me running.
Wall of Clouds
Warm evening sun coloring giant clouds! I finished this one last week, one of those paintings that seemed to paint itself. I chose not to question it. I really like the blending and mark making in this piece.
Winter Light
Low clouds and limited distance create a feeling of infinity. A sense of the unknown that I really enjoy. This time of year it is a prelude to the coming snows of winter.
Watching snow fall on a stormy lake is one of my favorite things about winter… certainly better than shoveling snow!
Big Light
I am prepping a collection of paintings to send to Horizon Fine Art Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming. I am thrilled to have gallery representation in Jackson Hole! A town I have always loved visiting.
Lately I have been spread thin sending out so much work and prepping for my solo show this February at Elliott Fouts Gallery. I am absolutely loving it, and so thankful!
Waning Day

Apocalyptic Bloom #1
This is the first in a series of paintings I am working on. I have always been obsessed with the movement of clouds and the power and energy of nature. This is only a slight shift of vision but once in a while you see something in your work that clicks.
