A little drama and a little beauty to start the week. I had painted a couple smaller pieces with a similar color scheme. Working on a couple new ones that are a bit larger.

I am always drawn to light and atmosphere. This painting incorporated those elements well.

Two atmospheric pieces embracing the light. The one on the left has sold, waiting on a frame before I can ship it off.

I took a few more high resolution photos yesterday, this was one capture. Today I have some paintings to varnish and prepare for framing. More importantly I am going to be painting!

Pleased to hear this painting just sold through Abend Gallery in Denver, Colorado.

Morning light shining through the fall leaves, hard not to love such a delight. I was greeted with fresh snow this morning, winter is eager.

Simplification and abstraction, concepts I play with to varying degrees in my work. This little painting is all about the feel of light.

I really like the color scheme and moody vibes of this painting. As I prepare a lot of giant boards I am going to be going back and forth between small paintings and huge panels. Ultimately I want to create more large scale epic works. The large pieces are much more expensive to make and end up with a large price tag so tougher to sell. Ultimately they are more satisfying and I aim to please myself.

Exploring water imagery with abstraction and expressive mark making. Like many of my paintings I want to make them larger.

I love a dramatic landscape. I have been up before dawn hiking and watching the sun break across the lake. Blasting color through the thick forest. Nature is endlessly inspiring.
